We are part of 3XPER1ENCE—a coalition of seven festivals from the independent cultural scene. We refuse to be competitors and choose to be partners. CIRCOLUCION Mini Art Fest 15 is Bulgaria’s festival for contemporary and social circus, which relentlessly advocates for access to art for everyone, without exception. The ACT Independent Theatre Festival will, for the sixteenth time, serve as a showcase for Sofia’s independent theatre scene. 180°—Laboratory for Innovative Art—continues to be the only forum entirely dedicated to artistic experimentation and the unpredictability of the creative process. YOU ARE NOT ALONE is a festival that insists that cultural practice must be choreographed as a space for collaborative thinking beyond competition. DA FEST, the festival for digital and interdisciplinary art, will not take place this year, but remains a partner of 3XPER1ENCE—we look forward to its next edition. MELBA Design Festival is the forum where we are reminded that design is in everything—and that’s a good thing—while the DERIDA DANCE FEST International Festival of Contemporary Dance will present, over the course of two weeks, some of the most interesting European dance performances from the past year.
We operate with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the National Culture Fund, the Sofia Municipality’s “Culture” Program, the “Creative Europe” program, and many other friends and partners. The events are part of the Sofia Municipality’s Cultural Calendar.
Art is for you.
