THE NAME OF THE STONE
“The Name of the Stone” is a theatrical performance that explores the creation of a dramatic text through the interaction between an actor and a stone. Starting as a random object that exerts a disciplining effect on the creative imagination, the stone generates archetypal imagery as the action unfolds and opens up new horizons of meaning.
Inspiration is drawn from Beckett’s minimalist texts about enclosed spaces and Paul Klee’s pedagogical notebooks.
