WHIPLASH WIND
Site-Specific (Non-)Theatrical Reality
An apartment becomes a makeshift refuge for four people, an island-chair, and their audience of observers. A mysterious trench that has appeared around the building cuts them off from the outside world and forces them to face the challenges of coexistence and isolation, while time remains relative.
Are 30 cases of champagne enough to launch us into space, or is that simply extravagance? The team’s abstractions are visually compelling, but do they convey anything substantial?
