AN ENEMY IN THE CLASSROOM

“ ‘What am I doing here? Does this make any sense? I regret being born…’

Your life hasn’t even begun, and you’re already lost. School and college are an extension of the womb. The people trapped inside sit and wait for the moment when they’ll get out—if such a moment ever comes.

“Enemy in the Classroom” turns its gaze toward the student—the person on the threshold of the world and the realm they have created and inhabit. This is not a play with a moral; it is not a play where the ending makes everything make sense, resolves all conflicts, and leads to something constructive. Through brutality and violence, we cast a cold gaze upon the students, who appear as atrophied figures—reflections of the world. We come face-to-face with the question of human presence in an existential vacuum. And if we think of classrooms as wombs, does it even make sense to cross their threshold, to step into a world where everything has already been decided—a world that has no need for new life?”
